Denison Hosts 15th Annual Career EXPO and Graduate/Professional School Fair
Posted: October 18, 2007
Denison University will host a Career EXPO on Wednesday (Oct. 24) during which students will have an opportunity to meet with representatives from more than 35 organizations. On Thursday (Oct. 25) Denison will host a Graduate/Professional School Fair with representatives from more than 65 schools. Both events will be held in Slayter Union from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Attending a career fair is one of the easiest ways for students to collect career and employer information, as well as graduate school and law school applications and literature, according to Career Services Director Pam Allen. First-year students and sophomores are encouraged to ask questions about internships and summer employment opportunities. Juniors and seniors can talk with representatives from profit, non-profit, and government organizations about career paths, employment opportunities and graduate school options. More than 10 Denison alumni will represent their organizations.
Represented will be employers such as Charis Healthcare, Clear Channel Radio, Deloitte Consulting, Eli Lilly, Ford Motor Company, Nielsen Company, Peace Corps, Recreation Unlimited, RockBridge Capital, State Farm, Teach for America and many more!
There will also be representatives from Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, Miami University Department of Theatre, Northeastern University, Northwestern Medill School, Ohio State University School of Social Work and College of Social & Behavioral Sciences, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, San Francisco and Union Theological Seminaries, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and School of Architecture/Interior Design, Washington University Division of Biology & Biomedical Sciences, and Xavier University Psychology Department. Many law schools will be represented including American, Case Western, Duquesne, Ohio State, Tulane, University of Maryland, University of Oregon and University of the Pacific.
