Denison Hosts 12th Annual Career and Graduate/Professional School Fairs

Posted: October 7, 2004

Expanded to a two-day event this year

On Wednesday (Oct. 13) Denison will host representatives from more than 50 graduate and professional schools. Students will have an opportunity during the Career Fair on Thursday (Oct. 14) to meet with representatives from more than 30 organizations. Both events will be held in Slayter Union from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Attending a career fair is one of the easiest ways for students to collect career and employer information, as well as graduate school and law school applications and literature, according to Career Services Director Pam Allen. First-year students and sophomores are encouraged to ask questions about internships and summer employment opportunities. Juniors and seniors can talk with representatives from both profit and non-profit organizations about career paths, employment opportunities and graduate school options.

Represented will be employers such as ACNielsen BASES, American Greetings, Cintas, City Year, Columbus Children's Hospital, Gap Inc. Direct, Prentice Hall and Teach for America. Many law schools will be represented including Catholic University, Emory, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Tulane and the University of Michigan. There will also be representatives from Case Western School of Dental Medicine, Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, University of Pittsburgh School of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences, Kent State School of Management, Xavier University Health Services Administration, and Wright State University School of Professional Psychology.
