Denison Hosts Eighth Annual Career And Graduate/Professional School Day
Posted: October 30, 2000
GRANVILLE - On Wednesday (Nov. 1) between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in Slayter Union, Denison will play host to more than 90 employers and graduate/professional schools at the eighth annual Career and Graduate/Professional School Day.
Attending a career fair is one of the easiest ways for students to collect career and employer information, as well as graduate school and law school applications and literature, according to Career Development Center Director Pam Allen. First-year students and sophomores are encouraged to ask questions about internships and summer employment opportunities. Juniors and seniors can talk with representatives from both profit and non-profit organizations about career paths, employment opportunities and graduate school options.
Represented will be such employers as Abercrombie & Fitch, Andersen Consulting, City Year Columbus, Inroads, Lab Support, ODNR, Peace Corps, Sterling Commerce, Unum, New England Financial, and Bank One. Many law schools will be represented including the University of Michigan, Duquesne University, Ohio State University, and the University of Cincinnati. There will also be representatives from American University, Case Weatherhead School of Management, the Medical College of Ohio, Johns Hopkins University's nursing program, and Yale University's epidemiology and public health program. Many of these representatives are Denison alumni.
