Denison Hosts Ninth Annual Career And Graduate/Professional School Day
Posted: October 23, 2001
GRANVILLE - On Wednesday (Nov. 7) between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in Slayter Union, Denison will play host to more than 90 employers and graduate/professional schools at the ninth annual Career and Graduate/Professional School Day.
Attending a career fair is one of the easiest ways for students to collect career and employer information, as well as graduate school and law school applications and literature, according to Career Services Director Pam Allen. First-year students and sophomores are encouraged to ask questions about internships and summer employment opportunities. Juniors and seniors can talk with representatives from both profit and non-profit organizations about career paths, employment opportunities and graduate school options.
Represented will be such employers as Americorps, AEP Energy Services, Coro Center for Civic Leadership, Great West Life, Eli Lilly, National City, Prentice Hall, Unumprovident, Peace Corps and Wells Fargo. Many law schools will be represented including the University of Michigan, Emory, Tulane, St. Louis and Case Western. There will also be representatives from Indiana School of Public & Environmental Affairs, Johns Hopkins Nursing, Medical College of Ohio, Northwestern Medill School of Journalism, Ohio State Neurosciences, Portfolio Center and University of Pennsylvania School of Education. Many of these representatives are Denison alumni.
