Andy Carlson concert celebrates release for new CD

GRANVILLE, Ohio— A concert to celebrate the release of two new CDs by local music bands “The Recliners” and “Common Thread,” which feature faculty from Denison University, will take place at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, in the Black Box Theatre in Burke Hall (240 West Broadway). The CD features music from several members of Denison’s music department, including violinist Andy Carlson, guitarists Tom Carroll and Casey Cook and singer Tim Hofmeister from the classics department. Other featured local musicians are Kevin Plaugher and Hugh Price.
