Denison Students Showcase Talent In Chamber Music Recital

Several different student ensembles at Denison University will be performing in a chamber music recital at 8 p.m., Tuesday (March 8) in Burke Recital Hall. The recital is directed by music department instructors Nicolas del Grazia and Leslie Maaser. Admission is free and open to the public.

A clarinet ensemble will be performing works by Gershwin, Pergolesi, Schubert and J.S. Bach. The flute ensemble will perform bothLegend of the Sleeping Bear(2004) by Catherine McMichael for flute choir, cello and narrator featuring cellist Daniel Strawser, '06 (Dublin) and narration by professor Stephen Caracciolo, andMarchby Brian Boru. Also, a brass ensemble will perform the second movement of the Suite fromFiori Musicaliby Frescobaldi.
