Denison hosts Chamber Music Invitational

Denison University will host the third biennial Chamber Music Invitational with performances from 1 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 12, at Burke Recital Hall (240 West Broadway). The performances are free and open to the public.
An estimated 15 ensembles will perform, with musicians that range in age from eight years old to college age. Ensembles will have the opportunity to perform two chamber works from 1 to 5 p.m. At 6 p.m. all the participants will perform a reading of the famous Beethoven Op. 59 no. 3 string quartet finale movement. An artist panel of the Cavani String Quartet, Peter Salaff, director of chamber music at the Cleveland Institute of Music and Deborah Bennett Price, artistic director of the Chamber Music Connection, will accompany the reading.
