On Friday, February 2, some 20 senior Denison students will travel to Chicago, for "Work Chicago" interviews with some of the area's top employers. The annual Work Chicago event has always enjoyed a strong showing from Denison seniors, and this year is no exception. Denison's 20 seniors will lead the program applicant pool which includes 16 students from DePauw University (Ind.) and 12 students from Albion College (Mich.). Other participating institutions include Kalamazoo College (Mich.) and Wabash College (Ind.) with nine seniors from each, and Kenyon College (Ohio) with seven.

Chicago employers interviewing candidates include The Chicago Children's Museum, The Goldman Sachs Group Inc., GradStaff Inc., The Northern Trust Co., SAFECO Insurance, Zurich Scudder Investments and Signature Graphics Inc.

Additionally, the Denison Chicago Alumni Club, along with the University's Office of Alumni Affairs, will host Denison students for a welcoming reception Friday evening following the day of interviews. The event will take place at Chicago's Rock Bottom Restaurant at the corner of State and Grand between 5 and 7:30 p.m. Denison students will have the opportunity to ask questions about living and working in Chicago, as well as network with alumni for additional career prospects. Some 50-plus Denison alumni will be attending the reception, including several 2000 graduates who participated in the event as seniors last year and subsequently took jobs in the Chicago area.
