Mark Comisford Promoted To Denison Grounds Supervisor

Mark Comisford, a 19-year Denison University employee and Granville resident, has been promoted to the position of supervisor of the grounds and roads department in the Physical Plant.
A native ofand graduate of Granville High School, Comisford had been assistant supervisor of grounds and roads for the past seven years. He succeeds David Wakeman, who joined Red Roof Inns as the Director of Landscape Services earlier this year.
"We are delighted to promote Mark to this supervisory position," said Physical Plant Director Art Chonko. "It was clear after the search process that he is the best person for the position. We look forward to his contributions toward maintaining and improving the campus outdoor environment."
Comisford assumed his new duties on March 6. He started working at Denison in 1981, and in addition to his service as assistant supervisor of grounds and roads, he has served as a groundskeeper and crew chief leader. A U.S. Army veteran, Comisford studied wildlife and recreation at Hocking College in Nelsonville. He is a member of the Ohio Public Facilities Maintenance Association.
Mark and his wife, the former Lynne Foster, live on Hankinson Road inand are the parents at Katherine, 17, and Seth, 4.
