Posted: April 2, 2010

Denison University’s Office of Campus Sustainability will host a workshop on “The Fine Art of Composting” at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at the Granville High School student gardens (248 New Burg Street). In keeping with this year’s campus wide “consumption” theme, the workshop will focus on the practice of backyard composting. The workshop is free and open to the public.

Denison’s campus sustainability efforts help to maintain the health of its surrounding ecosystems, and they adhere to the interdisciplinary goals of a liberal arts education through well-rounded scholarship, reflection and community service. With the help of environmental advocates within student, administration, faculty, staff and alumni groups, the college continues to investigate environmentally friendly possibilities on campus and develop strategies for funding and executing them.
