'The Daily Show' Correspondent Rob Corddry Brings Wacky Take on Events to Denison

Rob Corddry, one of the fan-favorite correspondents for the Comedy Central program "The Daily Show" will bring his sense of humor to Denison University at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday (Nov. 5) in Swasey Chapel. His appearance is sponsored by the Denison Lecture Series and is free and open to the public.
Corddry, a native of Boston, graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and has spent the last 10 years in New York City treading the line between theatre and comedy. In 1997, following a two-year stint with "Third Rail Comedy," a sketch comedy staple in the city, Corddry co-founded "Naked Babies," an acclaimed four-man sketch group that went on to produce such long-running shows as "We Hate Myself," "These Are Rocketship People," and "Emotional Stuntmen." He also performed with the Tenacious D at New York's Bowery Ballroom and has performed and taught improvisation at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in NYC.
Currently a correspondent for Comedy Central's "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," he also has a recurring role as Detective Frank Wrench on FOX's Emmy Award-winning show "Arrested Development." Corddry also has appeared on Comedy Central's "Upright Citizens Brigade" and on NBC's "Late Night with Conan O'Brien." He is frequently seen in television commercials, has done numerous national radio ads, and is proud to have been cited in Entertainment Weekly for "The Worst Commercial of 2001" along with Carrot Top. He made his feature film debut in the Dreamworks movie "Old School" and played the title role in an upcoming film, "Blackballed: The Bobby Dukes Story."
