Ellis’s “The Boy Who Played with Storytelling Elements and Movement” is a contemporary dance exploration using elements of creative writing to generate movement vocabulary, compositional ideas and choreography.

Nolen presents “Does Vogue Threaten my Identity?” His work is a personal exploration through theater and dance of one man’s journey to acceptance and understanding of gay culture.

The choreography of O’dneal’s work, “A Guide to Beating Everyone at Everything: An Investigation of Tension, Awkwardness and Humor” is inspired by silent film, physical comedy, and her own recipe for humor. Her work will be presented at various times throughout the evening’s performance.

Rajeendra presents “The Ubiquity of Hybridity,” weaving movement vocabulary fromAfrican Diasporan, Contemporary, Sri Lankan Kandyan and Hip-Hop and creating a distinct style of her own that celebrates hybridity and its in-between space.
