GRANVILLE, Ohio— Farmscapes, a juried photography art show with a focus on food systems by students at Denison University, will take place at the Bryn Du Mansion (537 Jones Road) beginning Friday, April 27, through Sunday, April 29. The art show’s grand opening will take place from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, April 27; exhibition hours are noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 29. The show is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Abram Kaplan at 740-587-6736 or visit www.denison.edu

The exhibition photographs are the product of field excursions to a wide variety of farms and food processing facilities in Ohio, including an organic Amish farm, a veggie burger production facility, and a conventional dairy farm. Farmscapes offers visitors a window onto each student artist’s individual experience, as well as the collective discoveries of the class.

Artists Jennifer Pentecost and Paul Hamilton of the Granville Studio of Visual Arts served as the official jurors for this year’s show and selected 35 images for display. The resulting exhibition provides a unique opportunity for visitors to enhance their awareness of the American food system.

Artists included in the exhibition are: Colleen Henegan ’12 (Arlington Heights, Ill.), Melissa Henry ’12 (Greensburg, Pa.), Nicki Jimenez ’12 (Foxboro, Mass.), Juliana Lisuk ’12 (Leland, Mich.), Braedon Long ’13 (Cincinnati), Jennifer Low ’12 (New York, N.Y.), Sarah McIntosh ’13 (Coshocton, Ohio), Nicco Pandolfi ’12 (Pitttsburgh), Kyle Plummer ’12 (Nashville), Shane Richmond ’13 (Mt.
