Flute Force Concert

GRANVILLE, Ohio —Flute Force, a professional flute quartet from New York City, will perform at noon on Saturday, March 24, in the recital hall of Denison University’s Burke Hall (240 West Broadway). In addition, they will teach a master class that day at 3 p.m. in the rehearsal room of Burke Hall. These events are sponsored by the Department of Music and are free and open to the public. Flute Force, comprised of Rie Schmidt, Wendy Stern, Sheryl Henze and Elizabeth Brown, has received grants from the National Endowment of the Arts, Chamber Music America, the New York State Council on the Arts, and Meet the Composer. In its 25-year history, Flute Force has toured the United States and Canada. The award-winning group was also included on a Windham Hill release titled “Mozart Variations.”
