GRANVILLE — Fiction writer and journalist Vasugi V. Ganeshananthan will read from her recently published novel, “Love Marriage,” as part of the Beck Visiting Writer program at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, in the Barney-Davis Hall Board Room (200 West Loop). The event is free and open to the public.
A 2007 graduate from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, Ganeshananthan was a writer and reporter for a number of publications, including The Atlantic, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and The Chronicle of Higher Education. She is currently vice president of the South Asian Journalists Association and a member of the graduate board of The Harvard Crimson. She will serve this fall as a writer-in-residence at Skidmore College.
This event is sponsored by the Beck Lecture Series, established in 1962 by Gordon C. Beck in memory of his wife, Harriet Ewens Beck, of the Denison class of 1910. The series brings established writers to the Denison campus. Harriet E. Beck held a lifelong interest in creative writing.
