Denison Seminar Presents Lecture on Google

Sangeet Kumar, assistant professor of communication at Denison University, will present a lecture, “Google and the Sovereign: New Media’s Challenge to the Nation State,” at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 25, in the Shephardson Room of Slayter Hall (200 Ridge Road). The lecture, sponsored by the Global Studies Seminar series, is free and open to the public.
The lecture will discuss recent episodes of conflict between the software Google Earth and nations across the world. The conflicts have evolved into diplomatic episodes in which governments perceive an intrusion into their territorial space.
