Challenges for Iraqi women

GRANVILLE, Ohio—Isis Nusair, a professor of women’s studies and international studies at Denison University, will deliver a lecture titled “The Challenges for Resettlement of Iraqi Women in the U.S.A. post 2003” at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 8, in the University Room of Slayter Hall (200 Ridge Road). This event, co-sponsored by Denison’s Global Studies Seminar and the Middle Eastern Culture Organization, is free and open to the public. Nusair teaches courses on feminism in the Middle East and North Africa, along with gender, war and conflict. Her current research focuses on the impact of war and displacement on Iraqi women refugees in Jordan.
 
The Global Studies Seminar at Denison is a multidisciplinary, scholarly forum, generally with an international focus, for presentation and discussion of papers in progress or other scholarly projects.
