Prospects for Arab-Israeli peace

GRANVILLE, Ohio—Vaughn Shannon, an associate professor of political science at Wright State University, will deliver a lecture titled “Palestinian Unity & Israeli Elections: Update on Prospects for Arab-Israeli Peace” at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 15, in the University Room of Denison University’s Slayter Hall (200 Ridge Road). This event, co-sponsored by Denison’s Global Studies Seminar and the Middle Eastern Culture Organization, is free and open to the public. Shannon teaches classes on Middle East politics and the politics of Israel/Palestine. He won the Presidential Award for Early Career Achievement in 2011. Shannon has published in International Studies Quarterly, International Organization, European Journal of International Relations, Security Studies, and Foreign Policy Analysis, among others. He is the author of “Balancing Act: U.S. Foreign Policy and the Arab-Israeli Conflict.”
The Global Studies Seminar at Denison is a multidisciplinary, scholarly forum, generally with an international focus, for presentation and discussion of papers in progress or other scholarly projects.
