Heisey Wind Ensemble Presents Pops Concert

The Heisey Wind Ensemble at Denison is giving its last concert for the season at 8 p.m. on Saturday (April 28) in Swasey Chapel (200 Chapel Drive). The concert is open to the public and admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students and free for senior citizens and children under 12.

Concert selections include works from Benny Goodman, the "King of Swing," from the films "Pirates of the Caribbean," "The Producers," and "Wicked, The Wizard of Oz." The ensemble will also play three dance episodes from "On the Town," and a medley of old American songs.

The Heisey Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Professor Russell Mikkelson, the director of university bands and associate professor of conducting at the Ohio State University.
