Denison Hosts Heisey Wind Ensemble

The Heisey Wind Ensemble is scheduled to perform its annual spring concert at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, in Swasey Chapel. Tickets are available at the door. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students and seniors, and free for children under 12 years of age and Denison students with their ID card.
Titled “Thank-You Denison” in appreciation of the University's long time support as a performance venue, the concert will include music from Mark Camphouse, Robert Russell Bennett, Andrew Boysen Jr., Pierre LaPlante, Dana Wilson, Ryan Nowlin, Henry Fillmore and John Philip Sousa.
Conducted by Russel C. Mikkelson, this wind ensemble serves the Licking County area and was formed in 1985 by J. M. Day and Don Workman. The group is sponsored, in part, by the Denison University Music Department. The Heisey Wind Ensemble and Denison have been working together since September 1986.
