Denison's Homestead holds open house

Denison University’s Homestead will host an open house from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 23, at the Homestead (100 Alrutz Road). The public is invited to tour the grounds, meet the residents, listen to music, and learn about Denison's 30-year tradition of socio-environmentally responsible living. The open house also will feature a 6 p.m. dedication of Cabin Phoenix, the Homestead’s newest residence, built by Denison students in the tradition of low-impact “earthship” design. The open house is free and open to the public.
Parking is available at the Denison physical plant (1205 North Street, State Route 661North), followed by a half-mile walk into the Homestead. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. For more information, visit www.denison.edu/homestead.
