13th Annual Jazz Guitar Festival at Denison

Denison University will hold its 13th Annual Jazz Guitar Festival on the weekend of Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, in the Recital Hall and Rehearsal Room at Burke Hall (240 West Broadway). Festival events include concerts, clinics and demonstrations, and all events are free and open to the public.
The Festival will begin on Saturday, Oct. 31, with clinics and demos from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Burke Rehearsal Room. That evening, featured artists The Hot Club of Nashville will perform at 7:30 p.m. in Burke Recital Hall; the Denison faculty duo of Tom Carroll and Andy Carlson also will appear. On Sunday, Nov. 1, the festivities will wrap up with a grand finale concert by the Rick Peckham Trio at 4 p.m. in Burke Recital Hall. Various festival clinicians also will perform for the finale.
Now in its 13th year, the Denison Jazz Guitar Festival is the longest running such event in the country. In addition to the Denison and Granville communities, the Festival regularly draws participants from New York City, Rochester, Nashville and Philadelphia.
