Denison Hosts 13th Annual Career and Graduate/Professional School Fairs
Posted: October 12, 2005
Denison University will host a Career Fair on Wednesday (Oct. 19) during which students will have an opportunity to meet with representatives from more than 35 organizations. On Thursday (Oct. 20) Denison will host representatives from more than 65 graduate and professional schools. Both events will be held in Slayter Union from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Attending a career fair is one of the easiest ways for students to collect career and employer information, as well as graduate school and law school applications and literature, according to Career Services Director Pam Allen. First-year students and sophomores are encouraged to ask questions about internships and summer employment opportunities. Juniors and seniors can talk with representatives from both profit and non-profit organizations about career paths, employment opportunities and graduate school options. More than 15 alumni will represent their organizations.
Represented will be employers such as American Greetings, City Year, Deloitte Consulting, ESPN, Grassroots Campaigns, Kelly Scientific Resources, Huntington, Ohio Citizens for the Arts, Ohio Attorney General's Office, Peace Corps, Prentice Hall Publishing, Road of Life-Cancer Prevention for Kids, Teach for America and many more!-- There will also be representatives from American University, Case Western School of Management, Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Medical University of Ohio, Miami University School of Architecture, Washington University Biology & Biomedical Studies. Many law schools will be represented including New York, Tulane, Ohio State, Vermont, and Notre Dame.
