Denison alum talks about life after graduation

GRANVILLE, Ohio—Sergey Kanareykin, a member of the Denison class of 2003, will present a talk titled "Cognitive computing, venture capital, and other cool things to do after you graduate," at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7, in room 114 of the F.W. Olin Science Building (100 Sunset Drive Road). The lecture is free and open to the public. 

Kanareykin is the CEO of Make a Mind Company, a technology incubator in the Boston area, and is involved in early stage financing for cognitive informatics startups. From 2005 to 2007, he served as the chief technical officer of the Center for Advanced Defense Studies (CADS), a Washington, D.C., research and education "think-and-do-tank." He was instrumental in establishing the center's work in the fields of information sharing and security, with funding from the Department of Justice and the Department of Defense, as well as private industry partners.
