Denison Professor Winner of Ohio Department of Agriculture Photo Contest

Abram Kaplan, program director and associate professor of environmental studies, has been named the winner of the Ohio Department of Agriculture 2008 photo contest, “Life on the Farm.” His winning photo titled "Sheep Sentinel," will be used in a variety of new state publications.
First Lady Frances Strickland and Ohio Department of Agriculture Director Robert Boggs presented a certificate to Kaplan on March 12. His photo placed first out of 124 submissions, and is on display with the 11 runner-up photos at the Ohio Statehouse in the Map Room until March 31. Kaplan also had three photos chosen as runners-up in the contest.
