Lecture on African and Hispanic Cultural Connections

GRANVILLE, Ohio—A lecture on the topic of “The Construction of African Cultural Space and Discourse in Spanish: National and Transnational Afro-Hispanic Connections” will take place at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday day, Oct. 20, in the lecture hall of Denison University’s Burton D. Morgan Center (150 Ridge Road). M’bare N’gom, chair of world languages and international studies at Morgan State University will deliver the lecture, which is sponsored by the Patty Foresman Fund, the Department of Modern Languages and the Black Studies Program. N’gom is considered an expert on the topic of Afro-Hispanism, having written and published six books and more than 50 articles on the issue.
