When he became the editor of the paper, he helped to transform it — to urge his staff to write more substantive articles, to improve their reporting practices and to comment through editorials on campus events of broad interest and real significance. The improvement in the caliber of the paper has been remarkable, and because the Denisonian stands as a symbol of who we are as a community, Nik’s efforts have had positive effects that go well beyond the articles published. Nik also implemented the process that put the Denisonian on-line.
