Denison Chamber Singers Host Renaissance Madrigal Feast 2005

Denison University's Chamber Singers, Flute Ensemble, and Half-Act Players will again present a Renaissance Madrigal Feast, an evening complete with dinner and renaissance-styled entertainment. On Saturday (April 23) and Sunday (April 24) evenings, King Aaron XIII will convene his court in the Welsh Hills Room of Burton Morgan Hall. Lords, Ladies, sundry knaves and other commoners of county Lickingshire are bidden by the King to join him for an evening of gleeful entertainment at the cost of $25. Reservations must be made to attend this event by Thursday (April 19). You may print out and complete a registration form from the music department website www.denison.edu/music, and mail with cash or check.

The Madrigal Feast will celebrate the beginning of spring, and the season of love and merriment. Guests in attendance are encouraged to dress in renaissance costume or clerical cassocks if so desired. The feast menu consists of bread, salad, a chicken or vegetarian entree, dessert, and wassail punch.
