Palestinian-American poet and scholar Lisa Suhair Majaj will read from her poetry at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, in the Barney-Davis Board Room (200 West Loop). Sponsored by the Beck Lecture Series, the Laura C. Harris Symposium, the Global Studies Seminar program and the International Studies program, the reading is free and open to the public.
Majaj was born in the United States and grew up in Amman, Jordan. Her poetry and essays are widely published. In 2007 she was awarded the Del Sol Press Annual Poetry Prize for her poetry manuscript “Geographies of Light.”
