Make a Difference Day and Kappa Karnival at Denison

The Denison Community Association (DCA) and Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority (KKG) have joined together to create a health and wellness themed carnival for kids. The event will be held from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24, on the Fine Arts Quad at Denison University (240 West Broadway). There will be a charge of 50 cents per ticket and all proceeds will go to Reading is Fundamental and other charities. The rain site is indoors at Mitchell Athletic Center (200 Livingston Drive).
The event combines DCA’s Make a Difference Day and KKG’s Kappa Karnival and will focus on health and nutrition education. Events will include an obstacle course, inflatable play stations, jeopardy games, and health-themed games and prizes. There also will be opportunities to make food for the local Salvation Army and Look-Up Center and to learn about health and fitness. Girl and Boy Scout troops will have an opportunity to earn Make a Difference Day badges. Denison students will provide music and performances.
