Denison Museum Serves Beans and Bowls on Campus

The Denison Museum, in partnership with the Department of Art and the Denison University Student Art Association, is hosting “Bowls and Beans,” a ceramic bowl and chili sale on Wednesday, Oct. 29, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. outside the Slayter Union (200 Ridge Road). The event is open to the public.
“Bowls and Beans” invites you to grab lunch or dinner and keep the bowl. For a $5 purchase, student-made ceramics will be filled with carne or vegetarian chili. Proceeds will benefit the Student Art Association. The rain site for the event is the Burton D. Morgan Atrium (150 Ridge Road).
This event is one of the numerous activities and programs scheduled to celebrate the current museum exhibition, “From the Fire: Contemporary Korean Ceramics,” which brings the finest of contemporary Korean ceramics to North America with internationally celebrated ceramicists, ranging in age from 30 to 80 years old. Their work reveals the adventurous spirit of Korea’s 5,000 year-old ceramic tradition.
