GRANVILLE, Ohio—The Denison Museum will host a book club meeting to discuss Barry Cooper’s “Silver Spoons, Mad Baboons and Other Tales of Tea” from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, in the Museum (240 West Broadway). The event is free and open to the public, with new members welcome. For more information, contact Sarah Baker at 740-587-6255 or visit www.denison.edu/museum

Cooper’s book details his life-long quest for the best cup of tea. Cooper’s quest examines his experiences from his childhood in Kenya through his profession as a tea connoisseur. He also examines the social issues surrounding the production of tea such as grower-buyer relations. Cooper’s book was selected to accompany one of the museum’s current exhibits, “Turning Leaves: Tea Through Time and Around the World.”

The “Turning Leaves: Tea Through Time and Around the World” exhibit aims to illustrate tea’s unique power to unite different cultures. This exhibit, along with “Knock on Wood, Five Years and Counting: The Fifth Anniversary of the Denison Museum,” will be on display until Friday, Dec. 9.
