Japanese tea ceremony at Denison Museum

GRANVILLE, Ohio—The Denison Museum will host a traditional Japanese tea ceremony from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30, at the Denison Museum (240 West Broadway). Tea sampling activities will be offered by ZenCha Tea Salon, followed by a traditional Japanese tea ceremony performance led by a certified Urasenke School instructor and three guest performers. The focus will be on creating a unique environment that allows the audience to experience the principles of the Japanese tea ceremony: harmony, respect, purity and tranquility. The Japanese tea ceremony is hosted in conjunction with the East Asian Film and Lecture Series weekend events. The ceremony is free and open to the public.
