Swasey Observatory open house

GRANVILLE, Ohio—The Denison Department of Physics and Astronomy will host an open house at Swasey Observatory (300 Chapel Drive) from 8 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, or Saturday Nov. 12, whichever is the first clear night. In addition to observations of Jupiter, Denison professors and astronomy students will be on hand to locate several celestial objects that can only be seen with the aid of a telescope. This event is free and open to the public. For the most current information on the open house date, call the observatory hotline at 740-587-6477. The final decision will be made by 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11.
