The One in Four RV Tour will make a stop at Denison University to present their Men’s Program at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, in the Burton D. Morgan Center Lecture Hall (150 Ridge Road). The presentation is sponsored by the Laura C. Harris Symposium Fund. The presentation is free and open to the public, and both men and women are welcome to attend.
One in Four is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing rape through education. Through the national RV tour, peer-educators travel the country presenting rape prevention programs to men and boys. The program entitled “How to Help a Sexual Assault Survivor: What Men Can Do,” aims to educate men about how to help women recover from a rape experience while lowering men’s rape myth acceptance and their likelihood of raping. They also learn how to better define consent in their own intimate encounters and how to intervene as bystanders to prevent the abuse of women.
