Lecture looks at supernovae

GRANVILLE, Ohio—The Denison University Department of Physics and Astronomy sponsors a lecture, titled “Computational Investigations of Type la Supernovae,” at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, in room 114 of Olin Science Hall (100 Sunset Hill Drive). The lecture, delivered by Aaron Jackson, a member of the Denison class of 2007, is free and open to the public. Jackson, who recently received his Ph.D. from Stony Brook University, State University of New York, was the recipient of a Research Associateship from the National Research Council. He is currently employed at the Laboratory for Computational Physics and Fluid Dynamics in Washington, D.C.
