ProMusica Chamber Orchestra Performs at Denison

The Columbus ProMusica Chamber Orchestra will perform at 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, at Swasey Chapel (200 Chapel Drive). Under the direction of Music Director Timothy Russell and featuring guest artist Natasha Paremski, the concert is made possible through the generosity of the Shackelford Family Foundation and is free and open to the public.

Pianist Natasha Paremski was born in Russia and began her music studies at the Andreyev School of Music Moscow at the age of four. She emigrated from Russia to the United States and studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Holder of numerous awards, Paremski has performed with the Orpheum Foundation, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the New York Youth Symphony, among others. She has recorded with the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, and is featured in a BBC film on Tchaikovsky.

The ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, the resident orchestra of the Southern Theatre in Columbus, was founded to present the best of traditional chamber music while fostering appreciation of contemporary American music. The Orchestra has commissioned and debuted numerous works, including those by composers Joan Tower and Andrew Kinney.
