Denison's Music Showcase Hits All the High Notes

More than 90 students will perform in Denison's Department of Music Showcase at 7 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 20), in Swasey Chapel (200 Chapel Drive). The program will include the Denison University Orchestra, Singers' Theatre Workshop, Jazz Ensemble, Bluegrass Ensemble and Jazz Combo. The concert is free and open to the public.

Among the performances featured at this event will be the Orchestra's preview of music for their fall concert with the opening movement of Bizet's "L'Arlesienne Suite;" the Jazz Ensemble performing music of the jazz masters; and the Singers' Theatre Workshop ensemble highlighting excerpts from the musical "Honk!" which was adapted from Hans Christian Anderson's story "The Ugly Duckling."
