GRANVILLE — Denison University’s Student Art Collective will be selling handmade bowls filled with soup on Thursday, Nov. 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Welsh Hills room of the Burton D. Morgan Center (200 Ridge Road) and 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Soup Loft (138 East Broadway). The event is titled “Empty Bowls,” and the proceeds will benefit the New Beginnings Domestic Violence Shelter and the Licking County Salvation Army’s meal programs.
The bowls for the Empty Bowls soup sale are creations from the Bowl-A-Thon in conjunction with the Art Marathon held earlier this fall at the Bryant Arts Center. The Empty Bowls fundraising events coincide with National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness week.
These events are made possible through a collaboration of the D.U. Art Collective, the Studio Art Program, Denison Museum, Annual Campus Theme Fund, The Soup Loft and Whatever Works Art Space. For more information, visit www.denison.edu.
