Denison University Suzuki Program talent education meeting and recital

Denison University’s Suzuki Music Program will hold a program recital at 3 p.m. followed by a talent education meeting at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, in the rehearsal room of Burke Hall (240 West Broadway). The recital and education meeting are free and open to the public. Suzuki instruction is offered in cello, flute, piano, viola and violin for students ages three to adult.

The Suzuki Method teaches music to children in a program developed by Dr. Shinichi Suzuki, who believed in fostering the potential in every young person. Suzuki believed that any child who is properly trained can develop musical ability.

The program has openings for cello, flute and piano for the summer semester, which begins on or around Monday, April 18. For more information, contact Suzuki Program director, Jim Van Reeth at 740-975-4644.
