Ancient Greek philosophy

GRANVILLE, Ohio—The ancient practice of debate is the subject of a lecture, “The Odd Couple Does Athens: Ancient Greek Philosophy and the Origins of Rhetoric,” by Roger Cherry, member of the Denison class of 1975 and associate professor of English at Ohio State University. The lecture will take place at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, March 1, in room 210 of Denison University’s Samson Talbot Hall (350 Ridge Road). Cherry has research interests in the history of rhetoric, rhetorical theory, composition research and writing evaluation.
