Posted: October 31, 2005

The Denison University theatre department continues its 75th subscription season with the production of William Shakespeare's romantic comedy "Twelfth Night." Performances are at 8 p.m., Thursday-Saturday (Nov. 10-12) and Tuesday-Friday (Nov. 15-18) in Ace Morgan Theatre (211 West College Street). Tickets can be reserved by calling the theatre box office at (740) 587-6527, and are $8 general admission and $5 for senior citizens.

Directed by John Sipes, associate professor of theatre, "Twelfth Night" explores love in all its many guises: lust, obsession, fraternity, narcissism, friendship, and of course, romance. Disguised as a boy, Viola becomes the servant of the lovesick Count Orsino, who sends her to woo a beautiful countess on his behalf. When the countess falls for the messenger (who has already fallen for the count), romance infects the entire household.
