Donna Brazile and Dee Dee Myers to participate in Women in Politics Panel

GRANVILLE, Ohio—The Denison University Democrats will host a Women in Politics Panel, featuring Donna Brazile and Dee Dee Myers at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11, in Swasey Chapel (200 Chapel Drive). Brazile and Myers will discuss the issues facing women in politics and progress in the area thus far. This panel is free and open to the public. Brazile is a notable Democratic political strategist and scholar. She is a frequent political commenter for CNN, NPR and ABC, and an adjunct professor at Georgetown University. Brazile also serves as the vice chair of voter registration and participation at the Democratic National Committee.
 
Myers was the first woman to serve as the White House press secretary during her time with the Clinton administration. Now she is a political commentator and is a contributing editor to Vanity Fair. Myers’ book, “Why Women Should Rule the World,” argues that women’s increased presence in the public sphere greatly benefits society.
