Community Scholars
Residents of Licking County may opt to enroll at the University as community scholars. This opportunity grants any candidate who is 30 years of age or older the privilege of taking one course as an auditor for a nominal fee of $100 per semester. The courses are made available on a space available basis and a candidate's participation is contingent upon the faculty member's approval. Some courses such as music lessons, studio art courses, and laboratories may have additional charges besides the $100 registration fee. These courses are not special continuing education courses but rather are the courses in which our regular degree-seeking students are enrolled. A community scholar may participate in this program for as many semesters as he or she desires. Application forms are available in the Office of the Registrar and must be completed every semester.
