  1. Students other than entering first year students may drop courses only during the first four weeks of the semester. Signed forms must be in the Registrar's Office by 4:30 p.m. on September 26, 2008. For their first semester, entering first year students have until October 31, 2008 at 4:30 p.m. to drop courses. There are add/drop deadlines for physical education activity courses that are different than the general policy. Please note September 12 and November 3 listed above.
  2. Students should be particularly careful about credit hours for first and second semester. Excess hour charges of $1,080.00 per credit hour will routinely be assessed each semester for any credits beyond 18.
  3. Students will be expected to use their social security number or their ID number for identification purposes.
  4. Routinely most classes begin on the half hour and conclude at 20 past the hour. Please note that the letter R represents Thursday.
  5. It is the student's responsibility to check the accuracy of his or her schedule. The Registrar's Advisory Board has directed that deadline dates are to be enforced strictly. We do not wish to penalize students by assessing failures to courses you have neglected to drop formally; nevertheless, it is critical that your schedule be correct. Please help us to make your experience at Denison a pleasant one.
  6. For the past decade the Academic Affairs Council has authorized the Registrar and the Registrar's Advisory Board to place some students on deferred suspension without going through the suspension and petition process. Still others may be placed on Deferred Suspension (DSP) when a student's quality point deficiency exceeds eight quality points.
  7. Grades should be available by December, 2008. One can likely access your grades through the web at http://my.denison.edu.
