Elder Council

Denison Religious Understanding

The Elder Council is the governing body of Denison Religious Understanding. We are a group of committed students led by Mark Orten and heavily assisted by Tricia Ruess in keeping DRU going strong. Our responsibilities are wide-ranging. We take care of nearly every aspect on Monday discussions, from ordering food to setting up to creating topics and moderating discussion. Our other roles include working to improve communication between various religious groups on campus, running annual events like Interfaith Week and the Maypole, and coordinating DRU's other events, programs, speakers, and retreats.

Lilly Interns

Our interns, or the "Pipe Bearers," work closely with Mark Orten in running Elder Council and DRU. Interns aren't necessarily in charge but they're the people to go to with ideas, concerns, and suggestions.
