Housing Lottery
Students are housed in two stages. Current matriculated students are housed through a lottery process that occurs during the spring semester. First year housing assignments are made during the summer prior to entrance to Denison and are mailed to students during the first week of August.

Room Assignments for First Year Students
Once a prospective student has been accepted to Denison University and has paid the initial deposit, he or she will be sent a Housing Preference Form in the First Year Notebook. Student will start receiving this form in late March. The Housing Preference Form is due by June 1 and is used to match roommates for room assignments. The First Year Program Office maintains this form.

- Smoking Preference (all halls are smoke-free)
- Sleep and Study hour preferences, etc.
