Emergency Response to a Power Failure
In Granville, power failures are common. If you are in the laboratory when the power fails,
- Turn off any electrical equipment you may have been using. Due to the fact that you do not know how long the failure will last, leaving equipment turned on could result in serious situations if the power returns and you are not present to monitor the equipment.
- Evacuate the laboratory. The ventilation shuts down during power failures so remaining in the laboratory is unsafe.
