Health

  1. Only slightly hazardous to health; May cause irritation.
  2. Hazardous to health; harmful if inhaled or absorbed.
  3. Extremely hazardous to health; Corrosive or toxic, avoid skin contact or inhalation.
  4. Fatally hazardous to health; specialized protective equipment required.
Flammability
  1. Only slightly flammable, must be preheated to burn
  2. Flammable if moderately heated; flash point between 100 - 200 o F (38 - 100 o C)
  3. Flammable under normal temperature conditions; flash point under 100 o F (38 o C)
  4. Very flammable gases or very volatile flammable liquids
Reactivity
  1. Normally stable but may become unstable at elevated temperatures
  2. Unstable and readily undergo violent chemical change but do not detonate.
  3. Capable of detonation or explosive decomposition but require strong initiating source.
  4. Readily capable of detonation or explosive decomposition at normal temperatures.
