The mission of the Office of Alcohol, Drug, and Health Education (ADHE) is to empower Denison University students to develop healthy and responsible habits, attitudes, and lifestyles. The Office of ADHE organizes events, programs, and campaigns throughout the year designed to promote wellness and educate students about relevant college health topics. Educational topics include (but are not limited to) responsible alcohol use, nutrition, sexual health, stress relief, and self-care. The Coordinator of ADHE facilitates three alcohol education programs (CHOICES, BASICS, and TIPS) for student groups, organizations, and individuals, and also conducts educational programs for students in the residence halls.
Students who have a particular interest in health and wellness issues are encouraged to pursue the available opportunities to get involved with ADHE. The Drug and Alcohol Resource Team (DART) and Student Wellness Advisory Group (SWAG) are both excellent opportunities for students to voice their opinions about the health issues relevant to Denison students, and help the ADHE Coordinator educate students and promote well-being to the larger campus community.
